Yes, I know it's a bit of a splurge, which is what I thought when I bought these topaz from one of my favorite gemstone dealers. But, holy cow, these are gorgeous stones and they are perfectly displayed on these open modern leaf, frames of sterling silver, textured fine silver tabs washed with 24k gold foil and gently darkened to set off the gold.
These hang 2-1/2" from the top of the ear wire and are 7/8" wide at the midpoint of the earring. The stones are 8 carats total weight, London Blue Topaz faceted rosecut, luscious!
